The screen faded to black and Jennifer Lawrence’s name enlightened the screen with a fiery glow..
The lights of the theater began to rise and the audience immediately rose to their feet in an uproar of applause.
“Josh, that was…amazing,” I mused and gripped onto his shoulder.
“Th-thanks,” he stuttered out. I couldn’t help but notice the wonder filling his face. He looked completely awestruck. He kept looking back to the his family and to myself throughout the entire film to see how we were reaand on Josh’s back and attempted to shout over the audience, “Way to go, dude.” Connor winked at me. Did he hear my confession at the beginning of the film?
We filed out of our rows once the applause had died down. Michelle and Connor went to go find the bathrooms once we were outside of the theater, leaving Josh and I alone.
“You must be happy,” I yelled over the sea of people crowding the hallway towards the reception area that the after party was being held at, “The audience loved you.”
“Yeah,” he said with a dumbfounded expression still plastered against his face, “I can’t believe it went so well. This whole week has been great. I can drive, my career is going to take off, and I have you.”
